You can...
Make friendly visits to patients and their families. Read to patients, listen and be there for patients who need companionship. Run errands for caregivers or sit with patients while caregivers run errands. Make phone calls to families just to let them know you are thinking about them. Sit with patients to enable caregivers to go to doctor appointments, shop for groceries, etc. Drive patients to doctor appointments. Make or deliver special treats to patients for holidays, birthdays, etc. Answer phones and assist with office paperwork. Assist with speaking engagements. Help with bereavement services and much more.
Opportunities are available in 9 Southwestern Indiana Counties: Daviess, Dubois, Gibson, Knox, Perry, Pike, Posey, Spencer, Vanderburgh and Warrick.
Our goal is to have strong volunteer teams in each county to provide services to patients and their families during this difficult time.
