MSS offers Christmas assistance to families experiencing a crisis through the holidays. We provide toys, some clothing, and food to help make sure that all children in our service area received "Christmas Cheer." Our small staff of three plans on, with the help of volunteers, providing Christmas Cheer to over 300 children in the community this year.

There are many aspects to the Christmas Cheer program.

Bilingual Interviewer - The bilingual interviewer will be in charge of interviewing clients who only speak Spanish. Some data entry is required. Schedule Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays 9am - 12pm, depending on the number of Spanish speaking clients we have for the day. We can limit it to a certain day for Spanish speaking clients if that works better for the volunteer. Volunteers Needed: 1

Christmas Cheer Store Team - will assist in setting up our "Christmas Cheer store". This is a specific room in our building that the Christmas Cheer Lead Volunteer can choose toys for families. As toys come into the office, store team members will be in charge of all sorting. Volunteers Needed: 4 (we will be scheduling specific times for store set up.)

Bagging Team - will assist with bagging gifts for all approved families. The Christmas Cheer Lead Volunteer will be in charge of checking all bags. Volunteers Needed: 4

Runners- will be responsible for locating bags and delivering them to each family waiting for pick up. Volunteers Needed: 4

Volunteers will report to the Christmas Cheer Lead Volunteer for this program. They must be able to follow directions and work with limited supervision. Volunteers may work in more than one position for this program.
