Volunteer Recruitment

Learn how to become a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) volunteer and help foster children find safe and permanent homes.

Hudson County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) is a non-profit organization committed to advocating for the best interests of abused and neglected children. CASA works through trained community volunteers to ensure that needed services and assistance are made available to children while helping to move them toward safe and permanent homes.

Hudson County CASA volunteers are everyday people who make a direct impact in foster children’s lives. They are trusted, dedicated adults who seek to improve children’s well-being. CASA volunteers get to know their assigned child and his or her circumstances and provide valuable information to the court. Judges rely on the volunteers’ recommendations to make the best decisions about the children’s futures.

The first step to becoming a volunteer is to attend an information session. Please join us for a half-hour to learn how you can make a difference in a foster child’s life.

For more information or to RSVP for an information session, email Clare Daley at cdaley@hudsoncountycasa.org or visit our website www.hudsoncountycasa.org.

Mission Statement

Hudson County CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) is committed to advocating for the best interests of abused and neglected foster children. Description

CASA volunteers are paired with one child, getting to know that child and his or her circumstances through monthly visits. Information is gathered from teachers, doctors, and social workers. With this information, volunteers make recommendations in the best interest of the child to a court judge. Volunteers influence a foster child’s life across many significant and far-reaching life concerns such as medical care, academics, and enrichment activities.
