Youth volunteers with rakes

In place of our annual fall Prepare Affair event, PWC is hosting our 45 Days of Service initiative in honor of our 45th anniversary!

We invite you to form small volunteer groups to provide exterior home maintenance services for low-income seniors and people with disabilities.

Each team may choose a repair project (if they have construction skills and tools), or a yard clean up project (good fit for groups with mixed skill sets or younger volunteers). Groups may choose any day between October 1st and November 14th--including weekends or weekdays--to complete their service project.

In order to stay safe while volunteering, all volunteers will be required to:

  • Stay in small groups - max of 10 per job site (groups larger than 10 will be asked to split into multiple teams)
  • Wear masks while on the job site
  • Work on the outside of the home only and have no face-to-face contact with clients
  • Use provided hand sanitizer and disinfectant to maintain CDC hygiene guidelines

Please register through the PWC website at http://www.pwchomerepairs.org/events/45-days-of-service.aspx

Looking forward to seeing you this fall, and thank you!
