We are looking for volunteers who enjoy working with animals and will help us maintain our commitment to the S.A.V.E. mission. Spay/Neuter, Adopt/Advocate, Volunteer and Educate.
Volunteers interested in being a Canine Coach will choose a dog and begin working on basic skills, such as sit, stay, lay and down. We will provide a handbook on how to teach these skills. The volunteer will come to the Adoption Center to work with the canine and can coach another dog if the current pupil is adopted.
In order to ensure an enjoyable and safe environment for our animals and new volunteers, orientation is required prior to your first visit. Please call the Adoption Center at 859-873-5491 or email us to reserve a seat. Orientations are pre-scheduled for the third Tuesday of each month and contain a limited number of seats. If you miss your scheduled orientation time, please contact us in order to reserve a spot in another session.
