During these uncertain times, how can we help?
See below to access our COVID-19 Resource Hub, and to explore our growing directory of both COVID-19-specific and virtual volunteering opportunities.
**Please note: we are accepting applications and completing interviews, but volunteers will not be trained on positions until after the COVID-19 disruption is over. Due to the fluidity of the situation, it is difficult to know when that will be. Thank you for understanding.**
(Up to 15 volunteers) Serving a meal to those experiencing homelessness is a fun, rewarding and very manageable volunteer opportunity! You organize a group of 10-15 friends, family or coworkers, plan a menu using your favorite recipes or recipes from our website (www.simpsonhousing.org), purchase groceries, cook and serve a meal to approximately 110 shelter guests. Dinner is served at 7:00 p.m. Depending on the menu, dinner can be provided to 110 people for $200, average price is $400 for the evening meal.
We will work with you to make it as easy as possible. From planning the menu, to figuring out portions, to orienting yourself to the kitchen, we will be there to make sure you have a meaningful and successful evening.
