ORGANIZATION: Youth Spirit Artworks

  • 27 people are interested

YSA seeks to recruit a new skilled member to our Board of Directors. We are specifically interested in new Board members with skills and background in Business and Finance, as well as homeless-youth related Social Work. We would equally be grateful to have a Board member with a background in Affordable Housing Law or Real Estate Law, or a Board member with Non-Profit Management experience, with knowledge and experience with agency infrastructure building.

Our Board is extremely diverse. We seek representation from individuals from groups that have traditionally faced discrimination and prejudice, including African American, Latinx, and LGBTQI+ Board members. We are also interested in representation from folks involved in the religious community since we are an interfaith organization. We are a very progressive, strongly youth-led organization with significant youth representation on our Board.

Our Board meetings are held on the fourth Thursday of each month at 7:15 pm. We encourage virtual participation when meeting in person isn't practical or convenient. Board terms are three years and are renewable for a second term.

We have a 100 percent giving Board and Board members serve on Committees, volunteering approximately 5 hours per month in various ways as part of their Board service.
