For immigrants, becoming a U.S. citizen is an important part of the path to civic engagement. Help them take that step by volunteering to teach classes that help them prepare for the test to become an American citizen. Volunteers work in teams to plan and teach the classes. This fun and rewarding experience gives you a chance to make a difference in the lives of others.
Requirements
Have good communication skills and a strong desire to help and work with new immigrants
Be available to teach 1.5 hours per week
Must attend teacher training and meetings
Have desire to further develop teaching skills
Prior teaching experience preferred
Volunteer Schedules
Tuesdays, Thursdays
7pm-8:30pm (virtual)
