Help feed the need! We're looking for volunteer drivers to deliver meals in Grants Pass,OR. Food & Friends and its volunteers work hard to assure that hundreds of homebound seniors are provided one hot meal daily, Monday through Friday. Volunteers usually commit to one day a week, 10:00 a.m. to noon. Routes are currently available in all areas. Volunteers are also needed to help out in the kitchen. Tasks include dishing up and packing meals to get ready for distribution to homebound seniors, serving meals to congregate participants, as well as clean-up and dishwashing. Description

Food & Friends is the senior meals program of Rogue Valley Council of Governments and serves Jackson and Josephine Counties. We offer nutritious hot and frozen meals for seniors, regular contact with someone who cares, and support for seniors who have a long or short term need for delivery of Meals on Wheels. Our 12 congregate meal sites offer a place for seniors to gather and interact with their peers while sharing a hot, healthy lunch. Homebound seniors aged 60 and older who need help with meal preparation may receive meals delivered to their homes by volunteers. Adults with disabilities who need help with meal preparation and who meet eligibility criteria may receive home delivered meals.
