Hospice Care of the Northwest
Compassionate Care, One Day at a Time

Do you play a guitar or other instrument and have a desire to make this world a better place? Are you interested in using your talent for a greater cause?

Hospice Care of the Northwest is looking for volunteers who are musicians, music therapists, or music thanatologists to enrich the lives of persons using hospice services.

Often, patients are isolated, or not able to communicate and interact with others but still enjoy music and are able to connect with it. Sometimes, it's just what is needed to create a common shared experience with no expectations. Some folks are bedbound and their room is their world. As a music volunteer, you provide comfort, needed companionship and space where the focus isn’t on their end-stage disease. This opportunity is a wonderful way to give back to our community.

Share your gift of music and enhance the quality of life for others immensely. If you play another instrument let us know.

Hospice Care of the Northwest services the Portland and the greater Portland area (Multnomah, Clackamas and Washington Counties) and we have volunteer opportunities in your area that can work around your schedule. We provide all the training and orientation and you will be well-supported and greatly valued by the entire hospice team. Your time is always appreciated. *Note - volunteers do no hands-on care.

I look forward to hearing from you! For more information and upcoming trainings, please contact me at:
