Pet Therapy Volunteering
Compassionate Care, One Day at a Time

Visits from our four-legged friends are the best!

Hospice Care of the Northwest's has just the right opportunities for you and your pet to visit terminally ill hospice patients who could really use the friendly visits. You and your animal buddy will visit one on one with a hospice patient on a weekly basis, brightening their day. Many folks you visit will recall the memories of their own pets and your visits will bring to them joy only a fur friend can bring.

*Pet team volunteers certify their own dogs with reputable therapy pet organizations to prepare the dog for service. If you have yet to go through such a program, please contact us for a list of organizations to choose from. If you are ready to go, let's get started! Also note - volunteers do no hands-on care.

Hospice Care of the Northwest services the Portland and the greater Portland area (Multnomah, Clackamas and Washington Counties)and we have volunteer opportunities in your area that can work around your schedule. We provide all the hospice training and orientation, and you will be well-supported and greatly valued by the entire hospice team. Your time is always appreciated.

I look forward to hearing from you! For more information and upcoming trainings, please contact me at:
