Young or old...working or retired. We welcome all compassionate and caring individuals to join our team! Volunteers are an instrumental part in making our team successful and providing the best care possible to our families. A Patient/Family Volunteer will provide companionship and support to patients and their families. Sitting with the patient when the caregiver has to run an errand, playing cards, reading a book, or just talking and reminising are some of the duties you may perform. Regency Hospice also has patients in nursing facilities and volunteers are needed to provide companionship to them. In addition, we are looking for volunteers that have an interest in teaching crafts, sewing or calling bingo in nursing facilities. Your time commitment is flexible - no minimum time required. No medical background needed. Volunteers are needed throughout all of Horry and Georgetown counties.
