Mission Statement

We believe that every child should be given a chance to be successful. We further believe that Community Volunteers, working as academic mentors and tutors, together with the school districts will allow children struggling in school the opportunity to improve academically and become successful lifelong learners. It is our mission to give every child a chance!

Description

Give Every Child A Chance (GECAC) is an education based mentor/tutoring program that was founded in 1997 to provide free tutoring services to students in Manteca Unified School District. We have now expanded into four separate school districts, Manteca, Ripon, Banta and Escalon Unified School Districts. These districts represent very different and distinct communities in San Joaquin County. Students K-12 qualify for our program who are in Special Education, attending a low performing school, having difficulties passing proficiencies or have a "D" or "F" on their report card.
