GROUND FLOOR:
As of the date of this entry, The Christian Commons Project and Real Liberal Christian Church are ground-floor.
NETWORKING:
We need volunteers to help spread the word and to network with others to build interest, membership, and a financial-contributor base.
Internet skills are a definite plus at this early stage (start-up). You can have a huge impact, since this is a grassroots/consensus Christian effort.
HOURS AND DAYS:
You can do the volunteer work from wherever you are and any hours of the day and days of the week you set.

Please visit our website, and overview the pages in the dropdown menu. That will give you a good sense of where we stand and the type of help we need.
Website administration and growth are critical to reach out the farthest at the lowest cost to the Project. If you are experienced with running websites (Linux), blogs (WordPress), forums, and the like, and with social networking, your knowledge, skills, and abilities could have a huge impact.
SKILL SET:
If you are great at organizing, teamwork, planning, executing, following up, and the like, your efforts will be appreciated.
If you have other skills that will be useful during successive phases in the Programs development, you may register to help with planning that will be more long term. We appreciate anticipatory planning.
AUTHORS:
We are also looking for likeminded contributing authors. Please see our page entitled, WRITE HERE AND THERE.
AGE REQUIREMENTS:
It also doesn't matter how old you are. We need help in reaching out to people of all ages. Minors (those under 18) are encouraged to discuss religious-affiliated volunteering with a parent or guardian.
NUMBER OF VOLUNTEER POSITIONS:
We have no limit on the number of volunteers needed.
GLOBAL OUTREACH:
This opportunity is open to people around the globe via the Internet.

OPPORTUNITY FOR ADVANCEMENT:
Of course, we can't turn the reins over to people without building a relationship, but volunteer work could certainly develop into full-fledged membership and even board membership and executive positions for those with the Spirit.

The Christian Commons Project is designed to carry out the mandate to the Church given by Jesus Christ in the Gospel According to Saint John the Evangelist, Chapter 21, Verses 14 through 17, to feed the people.

Detailed Description:
History:
The RLCC first published its Articles of Association March 2007. The Church and Christian Commons Project (CCP) was licensed by the State of Washington August 2008. The RLCC was recognized as a 501(c)(3) by PayPal Compliance and GuideStar August 2008.
Philosophy:
The RLCC is a Peace Church, believing in total pacifism (harmlessness; no forcing others against their wills). We believe in the political economy (giving and sharing; holding all things as community property) taught and exemplified by Jesus Christ and his earliest disciples.
Purpose:
The purpose of the CCP is to bring forth fruits worthy of repentance.
Program:
House, clothe, nurture, visit, encourage, help, produce a surplus to feed
Land and Building Fund to obtain arable land and sustainably and environmentally to develop farming communities (membership community property) primarily to feed the lambs and sheep of Christ
Communities will work to provide clean water, sanitation, food (growing and drives), clothes (making and drives), housing (restoring and new construction), sustainable energy, and the like.
We condone only unselfish uses of science and technology; however, we qualify that God has all power over science and technology.
Size:
No limitations; whatever funding will allow
We are new as of August 2008. We are appealing for membership.
Beneficiaries:
The sick, the lonely, widows and widowers, orphans, the homeless, the oppressed, refugees, slaves, the unemployed, the disabled, and the imprisoned, and the like, throughout the world;
General Population; US & International; Poor, Economically Disadvantaged, Indigent Homeless; Unemployed, Underemployed, and Dislocated
Our accomplishments have been in our start-up phase. We are still ground floor as of the date of this entry.

We believe in the Social Gospel outside secular government. We are in the world but separate to be restored and to commune with God. We go back into the world to find and help lost souls.
The needy need the means. Traditional charity avoids giving to the needy the means (collective ownership) to bring forth. The CCP of the RLCC will be more independent of economic downturns.
Serving our brothers and sisters is our calling.
We are too new to have program statistics to share.
Our plan is to measure our progress and share openly, not to boast but to spread the Good News, be a shining example, that unselfish love in action (spirit of oneness in service and friendship) works.
We will share membership statistics and community/financial information while protecting the anonymity of donors who give in secret, per Jesus Christ.

Financial Statement:
As of this writing, the Board pays out of personal earnings all expenses of the CCP and RLCC. Neither the Executives nor Board takes any compensation from the RLCC or CCP. 100% of donations will be going into the Land and Building Fund of the CCP until overhead burden becomes too great for Board members to fund from personal, outside earnings.
Our budget will be Churchwide. We'll strive for a 5-Year Comparative (Budgeted-to-Actual) General Ledger with all the appropriate Financial Ratios. We'll stick with General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
When we have sufficient funds to justify the added expense, we will share our audited financials (prepared and certified by a Certified Public Accountant).
