Orange Literacy needs volunteers to tutor adults in Chapel Hill, Carrboro, Hillsborough, and Efland.
We are a volunteer-driven non-profit and we need literacy tutors to meet one-on-one with adult learners either online or in person (our office or library). Subjects include math, reading, writing and improving language skills.
We ask volunteer tutors to meet twice a week for at least 4-6 months. Our students range from beginning literacy to GED-level. No prior tutoring or teaching experience is necessary. Training and materials are provided. Tutoring session times are based on student and tutor availability.
This is a special and rewarding opportunity for anyone who wants to give back to our community and help improv an adult learner's life.
Apply online at http://orangeliteracy.org/volunteer/ Please feel free to email Diana at ddaniellorente@orangeliteracy.org or call (910) 593-2283 for more information.
