Want to make a difference in a child's life today? You can become a hero for the child because in the child's eyes you let them see their mother or father! Without our volunteers, child would be unable to see their mother or father.
At CVP we use well-trained community volunteers to supervise the parenting time between children and parents. A supervisor keeps the child(ren) safe, plays with the child(ren) before and after the parenting time, writes down observations of parenting time, and interacts in the parenting time only if the child is in distress or unsafe. Parenting time is usually scheduled in the afternoons or evenings Monday - Thursday, Friday afternoons and all day on Saturdays. There are families which can come during a weekday. Volunteers are trained and then sit in on one or more parenting times with another supervisor. Volunteers must also submit to a CBI background check and a Central Registry Check. We ask that volunteers commit to at least 6 months. Most of our volunteers have been with the program for several years.
We are located in Downtown Denver at Central Presbyterian Church and we have two other locations: First Presbyterian Church of Brighton and St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Aurora.
