Nursery Volunteers help WCA raise the hundreds of baby birds we receive during the busy months from about April through September.

All Nursery Volunteers start out doing laundry, dishes, and cleaning aviaries. Once you learn those tasks, you learn to clean and stock baskets, prepare diets, syringe-feed, weigh birds, and administer medications.

Volunteers for this position must be at least 18 or older. All training will be provided and no prior experience is needed. Shifts are 8-11am, 10am-1pm, 12-3pm, 2-5pm, 4-7pm, and 6-9pm every day. Minimum time commitment is 2 shifts per week.
