Contact us now to be included in our Summer, 2020 training! We are taking applications!

The safety of our volunteers is a high priority for UnityPoint Hospice. Due to COVID-19, we have decided to pause on providing volunteer services in patient homes and hospice houses. We are hopeful for the day when our lives return to some sense of normalcy and the excellent support volunteers provide to our patients and teams can resume. We will be ready to on-board new volunteers!

Be a part of our top ranked, non-profit hospice team! Hospice volunteers are a vital part of the care and compassion that UnityPoint Hospice provides to patients and their families. Hospice volunteers can provide different types of support, based on their interests, talents and abilities. Some volunteers work directly with patient care, providing much-needed respite breaks to family members, running errands, and lending emotional support and companionship. Other volunteers are called to the mission of hospice by assisting with fundraising efforts, special projects and clerical work that supports clinical services and patient care. Our volunteers are available for patients and families that are in their personal homes, nursing facilities or at Taylor House (our inpatient hospice home).
