Train with the IRS as a Volunteer Tax Preparer!
Skylands RSVP & Volunteer Resource Center sponsored by NORWESCAP
Become a volunteer tax preparer in Morris, Sussex or Warren County.
Be a part of the community that helps seniors, the disabled, and low income taxpayers file their taxes without having to pay the high fees from using paid preparers.
Training is provided by the IRS and it is FREE of charge. Most training and certification takes place online but there will also be some in-person training as well to assist new volunteers.
You will be trained in both Federal and State filing.
This is a great opportunity to learn a new skill, build your resume, or even start a new career! Our volunteers have went on to secure employment with firms like H&R Block and Jackson Hewitt.
Training dates are TBD during the fall of 2019 and January 2020.
Tax preparation dates will be from February 1, 2020 to April 15, 2020.
