The FriendShop is located in the stunning Seattle Public Library on Level 3 in downtown Seattle. Everyday thousands of people visit the library and many visit the shop. The FriendShop is looking for volunteers who can assist customers through sales and service. The FriendShop is staffed mostly by volunteers who assist customers, cashier, stock shelves and set-up or tear-down displays each day. Shifts are 2-4 hours long and do require standing for periods of time although chairs are available for breaks. Mission Statement

The Friends of The Seattle Public Library is a non-profit, grassroots organization dedicated to promoting our Library as an essential institution of society. Our volunteer members advocate, educate, and raise funds on behalf of the Library, its patrons, and the larger Seattle community.


The FriendShop is the gift shop located in The Seattle Public Library run by the Friends. The shop is 300 sq ft of fun items for book-lovers, tourists and local shoppers. The shop is staffed by 3 managers and 22 volunteers. To visit our shopping site see www.efriendshop.org
