ORGANIZATION: Metro Atlanta RSVP

  • 42 people are interested

Are you 55 or older and eager to educate your community? Join AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP of Metro Atlanta, a volunteer program that mobilizes seasoned adults to serve as peer educators and advocates.

As an Anti-Fraud Advocate, you will help older adults increase awareness of consumer fraud by making informal community presentations about common scams -- what to look out for, how to protect oneself, and how to report suspicious activity. We equip volunteer presenters with PowerPoints, suggested scripts, handouts, raining, and full support so that you can tackle your role with confidence.

  • Choose the speaking opportunities that interest you. Common locations include Zoom rooms, senior centers, congregate residences, faith communities, and other gathering places.
  • Make a one-hour presentation and distribute handouts.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality standards.
Contact us to see if you would find fulfillment and a sense of purpose as an RSVP Anti-Fraud Advocate.

Metro Atlanta RSVP is a program of the Atlanta Regional Commission.
