Are you 55 or older and eager to make your community a better place? Join AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP of Metro Atlanta, a volunteer program that mobilizes seasoned adults to serve as peer educators and advocates.

As an RSVP volunteer in this role, you will help older adults, persons with disabilities, and caregivers learn about local, state and federal programs and services that support everyday living. Examples include in-home services, Medicare counseling, caregiving help, senior utility discounts, and more.

We equip all volunteer presenters with PowerPoints, suggested scripts, handouts, training, and full support.

Responsibilities:

  • Select the opportunity of your choice. (Common locations include Zoom rooms, senior centers, senior apartments, faith communities, and other gathering places.)
  • Make a one-hour presentation or staff our Area Agency on Aging table at an information fair.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality standards.
Are you eager to improve life for aging Metro Atlantans? Contact us today and explore the options.
