Provide a structured and supervised environment for children whose mothers are currently residing in one of our residential facilities or are attending an in-house group.
Children's program volunteers provide recreational activities that are age appropriate and assist children in the development of appropriate adult/child inteaction. By volunteering in this capacity, you allow mothers to attend necessary and important meetings, counseling sessions and training that will help them to succeed in a life apart from violence.
Volunteers are needed Monday - Thursday, from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.
Prospective volunteers are required to attend a 40-hour training course which is held twice a year, spring and fall. Volunteers must complete an application, reference checks, fingerprinting and an interview before beginning the training.
To begin this process, please visit http://jbws.org/volunteer.html to access our on-line application.
