Art Shop and Gallery Assistant

Interested in art? Enjoy working with the public? We are seeking volunteers to help monitor our art gallery and work in our gift shop on Saturdays. There are two shifts available: 11:00 am to 1:30 pm, and 1:30 to 4:00 pm. Volunteers must commit to working 2 shifts per month for at least four months.

Duties include: welcoming visitors, assisting customers and making sales in the shop, setting up and helping with special events in the gallery (such as artist talks), direct students to art classes, and light clerical tasks. Service hours available.

Due to the training required for this position, we are seeking only volunteers who are able to make a long-term commitment of at least four months or more.

Kennedy Heights Arts Center is a nonprofit community arts center serving diverse youth and adults through a range of programs including: rotating art exhibitions, arts education programs and cultural events.
