Work one-to-one or in a small group with adult learners. Both in-person and virtual options for teaching. Training: 5-8 hours; commitment is for a 2.5 hour session weekly; 8+ month commitment appreciated. Location varies depending on learners and tutors.

Description
Jefferson County Literacy Council, Inc. (JCLC) is a private non-profit organization providing literacy and language services throughout Jefferson County. This includes the entire municipalities of Watertown and Whitewater despite their split between other counties. JCLC began forming in 1996 and started operations in 2000.
JCLC is committed to building communities that are strong in literacy, language and cultural understandings through information and resource sharing, referral, assessment and instructional services. The hard work of volunteers, learners, and staff are needed to fulfill our mission, together with funding, resources and facilities.
