During these uncertain times, how can we help?

Thank you for exploring being a hospice volunteer with Texas Home Health Hospice. We are looking for hospice volunteers to provide companionship to our patients who are living in facilities or in their homes.
Hospice provides palliative care to terminally ill patients. This service also includes supporting their caregivers. Besides providing for patients' comfort, hospice is responsible for maintaining their safety and privacy.
Since volunteers in hospice are part of our care team, our volunteers, as with all our employees, must become familiar with the 'hospice" team concept, philosophy, and approach to end-of-life issues.
First of all, all of our volunteers must be 18 years of age or older. We also require that our prospective hospice volunteers fill out an application packet, background check and two references. Training is required and a TB test for those seeing patients (at our expense). Once that is complete you are ready to see patients.
We truly value our volunteers and support them any way we can. We want you to have a great volunteer experience. If hospice feels like a good fit for you, we invite you to contact us to learn more.
