When you become a volunteer with St. John's in Oxnard or Camarillo, you'll be helping our patients and their families, the Sisters of Mercy, all of us at the hospitals.
In addition to contributing to the community and the hospital, you'll learn new skills and gain valuable experience in healthcare. You'll also get to know a wide variety of interesting, talented people, and you'll experience a deep sense of accomplishment of being needed and appreciated.
Volunteers also can participate in fundraising activities and all proceeds go back to assist in patient care services.
We place vollunteers in all departments with the exception of Pharmacy, Operating and Surgery.
Shifts vary from 8a.m. to 8p.m Sunday - Saturday.

Description
The purpose of our Auxiliary (adult volunteers) and our Student Volunteers (High School and College) is to assist the Sisters of Mercy and St. John's Administration and staff in advancing and promoting the welfare of the institution and the people it serves. Leaders and members of the Auxiliary support St. John's philosophy and mission statement and are mindful of the spiritual and organizational objectives which constitute reasons for St. John's existence.
