Position Summary

Provide assistance with special projects that support Patient Education and the Patient and Family Resource Center departments at the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA) Clinic, which is located at 825 Eastlake Avenue East.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service for patients, families, and staff who enter the Patient and Family Resource Center.
• Assist with processing new books for circulation in Resource Center lending library. This includes entering titles into library database, preparing books with cards, organizing books in the collection, making reminder calls to patients.
• Assist with stocking patient education materials within the Resource Center and the clinic
• Assist with Patient Manual and packet production
• Assist with special projects as assigned.
• Assist with Patient Education Inventory Checks
• Assist with editorial review of Patient Education products
• Orient new patients and family members to the computers, photocopier, scanner and fax machine in the Resource Center. Offer assistance with learning how to create web-based email accounts and conduct information searches on the internet.
• Bag and organize hats and other donated items that are distributed through the Resource Center.
