  • 11 people are interested

As a volunteer with Hospice & Palliative Care Charlotte Region, you will make a difference in the lives of others through your gift of time and giving. Helping patients make the most of every day is the goal of hospice care. Volunteers provide socialization, support, and companionship to patients living at home, in care facilities or at one of our hospice houses. While specially trained hospice experts provide clinical care, it is caring and kindness of our volunteers that truly makes a difference in the lives of our patients. We are currently seeking Veterans to provide socialization and companionship to patients that served in the Armed Forces.

Volunteer Activities: You will provide fellowship and a supportive presence for a fellow Veteran under hospice care by visiting on a regular basis.

Location: Volunteers will serve patients near work or home in their spare time. We provide care for three counties in South Carolina and eight counties in North Carolina. Volunteers can visit patients in the following counties: York, Chester, Lancaster, Cleveland, Catawba, Lincoln, Gaston, Iredell, Mecklenburg, Cabarrus and Union.
