Emergency Family Assistance Association
Duties: Assist EFAA in serving participants in an efficient and effective manner. Interview participants to determine eligibility; assess food, furniture and transportation needs and approve these services as appropriate.
Skills needed: Patience, organization and ability to give and follow directions are required. Must be able to maintain a calm demeanor and adapt to a busy and sometimes chaotic environment. Ability to navigate web based software is essential. Spanish speaking ability is helpful.
Time commitment: ~3.5 hours per week for at least six months
Training requirements for this position include ~3 hours 1:1 training + 6 - 9 hours shadow/reverse shadow training before volunteers can manage an intake shift on their own.
