Do you like working with people? Volunteers at the Information Desk are a visitor's first point of contact. In this role you are an ambassador for the Hospital. You will be trained to assist our guests- in particular, you will provide assistance in handing out a surgical mask to each family visitor.
There is a feeling of satisfaction in knowing you've helped them reach their destination. You'll get to know the staff and visitors and develop new friendships. Be part of our mission to rebuild lives!
Looking for volunteers Monday-Saturday 10:00-2:00.
Complete training and support are provided.

Hospital for Special Care is a private, not-for-profit, 228 bed Long-Term, Acute-Care hospital licensed by the state of CT. as a chronic disease hospital. The hospital is renowned for its expertise in physical rehabilitation, respiratory care and medically-complex pediatrics. In addition, special programs are available in the treatment of spinal cord injuries and illness, acquired brain injuries, strokes and breathing disorders.
We also provide a full range of outpatient services, including physical, occupational, and speech therapy, rehabilitation evaluation, neuropsychology and pulmonary rehabilitation programs. The hospital also includes a 27,000 foot Aquatic Rehabilitation Center, which completes the full spectrum of rehabilitation and community fitness activities offered.
We also have a 28 bed satellite facility located within Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, CT. The satellite serves patients who are medically or surgically complex and/or require specialized care.
