Pre-registration is required. Please email info@sdtt.org to reserve your spot in the training. Due to a high number of responses we may have to place you on a waitlist.
Get involved with local wildlife conservation by signing up for the San Diego Tracking Team's Wildlife Survey Volunteer Training on Saturday, October 19, from 7:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
This training will prepare you to participate in surveys that monitor wildlife in major open space preserves. You will learn about conservation, habitat fragmentation, basic track and scat identification, data collection protocols, and survey transects. Upon completing the class, you will be able to join experienced trackers on some of SDTT's wildlife surveys throughout San Diego County.

To sustain and expand long-term monitoring of the diverse wildlife and habitats of the San Diego region, to analyze and share findings, and to engage community members through educational outreach and volunteer activities.
Description
The San Diego Tracking Team (SDTT) is dedicated to preserving the wildlife habitat in the San Diego region through citizen-based wildlife monitoring and environmental education programs. Since 1996 the SDTT has conducted wildlife track and sign surveys to evaluate the health of key species, the connectivity of open space areas, and the efficacy of city and county Multiple Species/Habitat Conservation Plans. We train volunteers from all over San Diego County who monitor locations throughout the region.
SDTT is a 501(c)3 Corporation, whose leadership and members are volunteers. Donations to SDTT are tax-deductible.
