Interpretive Naturalist (to include Boardwalk, Marsh or Trail Hikes, Dip netting, and Biking).
Enjoy the great outdoors of Sunny South Florida and share you love of nature! Our naturalist positions may help or lead any of the above programs. Program times vary but are approximately two hours' duration on the boardwalk or on the trails. You may utilize a rolling info cart display in some presentations.
You may target working in specific areas. A great need is working with our numerous school group programs on week day mornings.
Weekly shifts are preferred with a minimum of two shifts a month required.
Minimum age 16. Volunteer application and background check required.

Description
Grassy Waters Preserve offers unique educational and guided recreational opportunities on the edge of a 20+ square mile wetlands resource. The Preserve includes Nature Center Pavilions, boardwalk trails, hiking, biking, canoeing, kayaking, educational programs and more! Apoxee Urban Wilderness Park is located on the Southeast corner of Grassy Waters Preserve.
