Prepare Food Boxes.
Paradise Valley Emergency Food Bank
We are open Monday through Friday, 9AM-4PM. Volunteers shifts are 2 or 3 hours in length. You can work one or more shifts per week. This opportunity is for permanent volunteers only, not for volunteers with limited hours availability, or those needing community service time.
At the food bank we prepare food boxes using a list of items which varies for different size families. These boxes are then provided to clients who have an appointment to come for food assistance. These food boxes may weigh 25 to 30 pounds. This position will require walking and moderate physical strength. Volunteers also accept donations from the public and reshelf those food items. We provide an orientation for volunteers. Happy, flexible, hard-working people make it such a great place to volunteer. Please let us know if this volunteer opportunity sounds of interest to you.
