No Experience Necessary! - Just a Smile, Kind Heart and Your Time! Docents are trained to introduce tour groups to the Whittier Museum's special and permanent exhibits using a variety of techniques that encourage the visitors to look at, discuss and gain insight into the first 100 years of Whittier's history. The museum features interactive exhibits, models and artifacts from antiquity to contemporary periods. Our goal is to provide education and foster an enjoyment of Whittier history in our visitors. Week day docents are needed Tuesday-Friday 9am-12noon, weekend docents are needed Saturdays, 1 to 4pm. Docents must be prepared to provide tours to diverse audiences including; school children, young adults, educators, seniors, visitors with special needs, and those for who English is not their first language.

Publish and disseminate information to promote appreciation and enjoyment of the above by the widest possible number of residents of the Whittier area.
