Masonicare Home Health & Hospice

  • 75 people are interested

Hospice is not about dying but about living and hospice volunteers are present to help patients live life to the fullest. Masonicare Home Health and Hospice trains volunteers to provide non-medical support to hospice patients statewide. Volunteers assist our hospice patients by engaging in companionship activities such as listening to music, reading, looking at photos together, providing respite for weary caregivers, and much, much more. Administrative volunteers also help in non-direct patient care roles. In addition, we have several specialty programs depending on your background and interests: Expressive Arts, Creature Comforts (pet visits with your registered therapy animal), Spirit Song including playing an an instrument or singing, and our Veteran-to-Veteran volunteer program.

We offer a free, thorough training process for all our volunteers as well as ongoing education and support. Training classes are held throughout the year. Once trained, volunteers set their own level of commitment based on their available time.

Volunteers are needed across the state. Contact us today to learn more about how you can help bring comfort and care to those in need at a critical time in their lives.
