Just four hours of your time on a Saturday morning will make a difference to the prairies. Meet people who love nature like you do. Spend time in the tall grass. Breathe fresh air. See the dates and locations of upcoming work days. Meet promptly at 8 a.m. Tools, gloves and water are provided. Dress appropriately for the weather and outdoor work. You may want to pack a lunch. Please be prompt. It may be difficult to locate the group once they have left for the workday. Participation in public workdays is a great way to meet people with similar interests, try out volunteering, and satisfy a community service requirements for schools or clubs. Groups of 10 or more are asked to register with the District. If you have any questions or need directions, please call Volunteer Services at 815.722.7364.
