You can help seniors and people with disabilities remain independent by helping them around their home.
Our Volunteer Manager matches volunteers with people in need of light housekeeping or grocery shopping. Typical tasks include vacuuming, dusting and sweeping floors, or helping with grocery shopping and running errands.
Volunteers will usually work one to two hours per week assisting a neighbor with household tasks. It's meant to be done when it is convenient for both of you. It may also be a time to visit with the person to help reduce their social isolation.
We also have a special Home Help division that helps with lawn care (in the Spring and Summer), raking (in the Fall) and Snow Shoveling (in the Winter).
