Every 26 seconds a US student drops out of school. You can help change that!
The mission of Communities In Schools is to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life. Volunteers serve as positive role models through mentoring and tutoring. Opportunities are available in elementary, middle and high schools and are offered primarily during the school day. We currently serve a total of 16 schools throughout both Charleston and Berkeley County School Districts. Communities in Schools offers a rewarding and flexible opportunity for volunteers passionate about positively affecting the lives of our youth.
