The Milwaukee Dragon Boat Festival is happening at Lakeshore State Park on Saturday, July 12, and we’re looking for energetic, helpful volunteers to join the fun!
Marshalling volunteers will help steady boats at the dock, assist paddlers getting on and off, and keep things running smoothly throughout the day.
Volunteer shifts:
* 7:30-9:30 AM
* 9:30 AM-12:30 PM
* 12:30-3:30 PM
Volunteers will get a free meal compliments of the Milwaukee Chinese Community Center, and pending availability, a free t-shirt!

The Friends of Lakeshore State Park partner with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and our community to support Lakeshore State Park as Milwaukee’s premier urban lakefront destination for environmental and freshwater education, conservation, recreation and outdoor enjoyment

- This is a Done in a Day opportunity and there is no prior training or ongoing commitment needed.
- Driver's License Needed
- Must be at least 16
- 2 to 3 hours
- There will be 21 people boarding a dragon boat every 2-4 minutes. The marshal attendant will be required to hold the boat steady on the dock or assist participants in getting on board or getting off the boat.
