Chosen Hearts is a grassroots nonprofit bringing hope and healing to individuals and families experiencing homelessness in South Los Angeles. We’re on a mission to rebuild lives, and we can’t do it without you.

We’re looking for passionate, caring volunteers to join our team and help us serve the community through outreach, food drives, and behind-the-scenes support.

Current Opportunities:
* Drivers - Help transport donated goods and supplies (must have valid license)
* Food Drive Team - Support packing, setup, distribution, and cleanup
* Event & Outreach Helpers - Assist with volunteer check-in and coordination
* Admin Volunteers - Help with light data entry, planning, and communication

Location: Most roles take place in South LA. Some admin tasks may be done remotely.

Time Commitment: Flexible. You can help at one event or get involved on an ongoing basis.

Who We're Looking For: Compassionate, reliable people who want to give back. No experience needed. Just bring your heart and willingness to help.

Description

Chosen Hearts is a grassroots nonprofit in South Los Angeles committed to rebuilding lives and restoring hope for individuals and families facing homelessness, hardship, and instability. As a community-driven organization, we provide direct outreach, emotional support, essential supplies, and one-on-one life skills coaching to help people move toward long-term stability.

We meet people where they are: in shelters, on the streets, and in times of transition, offering compassion, care, and consistency. Our team distributes food, clothing, and hygiene kits, and connects individuals to housing referrals, mental health care, and other vital services. Every interaction is rooted in dignity, trust, and the belief that change is possible.

Since launching, we’ve served over 1,000 individuals with personalized support and critical resources.

We are currently seeking caring and committed volunteers to support our work. Opportunities include packing and distributing hygiene kits and food, driving to pick up donated items, helping with event setup and food drives, and providing admin support and outreach coordination.

Whether you volunteer for a day or become a regular part of our team, your time and heart can make a real impact. Join us and help bring hope and healing to our community.
