Schedule: Flexible | ~4 hours/week
Our Safe Space is expanding! We’re launching a second Meetup group-Our Shared Events-as a way to spotlight community events and programs that align with our mission of connection, empowerment, and personal growth.
We’re looking for a detail-loving, community-minded volunteer to serve as the Meetup Administrator for this new group. Your role? To curate and post events hosted by other local nonprofits, libraries, organizations, or people doing great work-without needing to organize or attend them yourself.
Key Responsibilities:Find events in Tucson (and virtual ones) that align with our values
Post them to our "Our Shared Events" Meetup group using clear, inviting language
Make sure events include titles, descriptions, location details, and direct RSVP links
Keep the page active and helpful-aiming to share 5-10 great events per week
Occasionally coordinate with Gayla (our founder) to stay on-brand and balanced
Love connecting people with resources, ideas, and opportunities
Are comfortable navigating Meetup or willing to learn
Have an eye for events that reflect themes like healing, creativity, learning, or belonging
Are organized and self-directed (but appreciate a check-in now and then)
Can commit to a few hours per week and enjoy building something meaningful
A chance to shape something brand new that supports your community
Flexibility-you can work on your own time and from anywhere
The joy of connecting good people with good things
Recognition in our newsletter and plenty of warm fuzzy feelings
A trusted spot in the Our Safe Space volunteer fam (snacks included when local)
Ready to help us spread the word-and the good stuff? We’d love to hear from you.
