ORGANIZATION: AccentCare Hospice and Palliative Care

Image_202211081143

AccentCare Hospice is seeking caring volunteers in the Houston, Texas area that want to make a big difference in the lives of hospice patients by providing companionship and a listening ear at a time when they need it the most. Our direct care companionship volunteers relieve the loneliness and monotony that so many people living with a terminal illness suffer from. For many, the only regular human contact they have are the nurses or caregivers that are there to attend to their physical needs. Just by listening, having a conversation, playing a card game, or reading a book with our patients, you can dramatically improve their quality of life.
