ORGANIZATION: GREATER IMPACT CHURCH

Overview

The Executive Pastor of Greater IMPACT Church serves as a key strategic and operational

leader, working in close partnership with the Lead Pastor and Elder Board to translate the

church's vision into actionable plans and ensure the effective and efficient functioning of all

ministries and administrative operations. This role is responsible for the overall organizational

health, resource management, and operational excellence, enabling the Lead Pastor to focus

primarily on spiritual leadership, preaching, and vision casting.

Key Responsibilities

The Executive Pastor's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Operational Leadership & Management

* Day-to-Day Operations: Oversee and manage the daily operations of the church,

ensuring smooth and efficient functioning across all departments.

* Facilities Management: Supervise the maintenance, development, and strategic use of

church facilities and property.

* Technology & Systems: Lead the development and implementation of administrative

and technological systems to enhance efficiency and communication.

* Risk Management: Identify and mitigate operational risks, ensuring compliance with

legal requirements and best practices.

2. Strategic Implementation & Project Management

* Vision to Action: Work directly with the Lead Pastor and Elder Board to translate the

church's strategic vision and goals into concrete, actionable plans and measurable

objectives. * Project Oversight: Lead and manage key church-wide initiatives and projects from

conception to completion, ensuring timely and on-budget delivery.

* Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve church processes and

workflows to maximize effectiveness and resource utilization.

3. Financial Oversight & Stewardship

* Budget Development & Management: Oversee the annual budget process, working

with ministry leaders to develop, monitor, and manage departmental budgets.

* Financial Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, providing regular

updates to the Lead Pastor, Elder Board, and relevant committees.

* Resource Stewardship: Champion responsible financial stewardship, ensuring

accountability and transparency in all church financial matters.

4. Human Resources & Staff Development

* Staff Supervision: Directly supervise and mentor ministry directors and administrative

staff, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and spiritual growth.

* HR Management: Oversee human resource functions including recruitment, onboarding,

performance management, compensation, and policy development for all paid staff.

* Volunteer Engagement: Collaborate with ministry leaders to support and enhance

volunteer recruitment, training, and retention efforts.

5. Support to Lead Pastor & Elder Board

* Strategic Partner: Serve as a strategic partner to the Lead Pastor, providing operational

expertise and support to enable the Lead Pastor to focus on spiritual leadership and

teaching.

* Elder Board Support: Provide administrative and strategic support to the Elder Board,

assisting in agenda preparation, follow-up on decisions, and implementation of policies.

* Communication Hub: Facilitate effective communication channels between the Lead

Pastor, Elder Board, staff, and various ministry teams.

Qualifications

Candidates for the Executive Pastor position must demonstrate qualifications consistent with

biblical mandates for leadership (e.g., 1 Timothy 3, Titus 1) and possess strong administrative

and strategic capabilities:1. Spiritual & Character Qualifications

* Mature Faith: A vibrant, growing, and demonstrable personal relationship with Jesus

Christ, with a clear call to ministry.

* Biblical Integrity: An irreproachable character, marked by humility, integrity, self-

control, wisdom, and a good reputation.

* Servant Leadership: A heart for servant leadership, committed to supporting and

empowering others.

2. Educational & Experiential Qualifications

* Education: A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related

field is required. A Master's degree (e.g., MBA, M.Div., or MA in Leadership/

Management) is highly preferred.

* Professional Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive leadership experience in

organizational management, business administration, or church operations, preferably in

a multi-staff environment.

* Financial Acumen: Proven experience in financial management, budgeting, and resource

allocation.

* HR Experience: Demonstrated experience in human resources management, including

staff supervision and development.

3. Doctrinal Alignment

* Theological Agreement: Full agreement with and commitment to the Statement of Faith

and doctrinal positions of Greater IMPACT Church as outlined in its bylaws.

4. Skills & Abilities

* Exceptional Organizational Skills: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of

managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.

* Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically, analyze data, and develop effective

operational plans.

* Strong Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of

communicating clearly and effectively with diverse audiences.

* Interpersonal Skills: Proven ability to build strong relationships, resolve conflict, and

foster a positive team culture. * Problem-Solving: Proactive and effective problem-solver, with the ability to navigate

challenges and implement solutions.

* Technological Proficiency: Proficient in church management software, office

productivity suites, and other relevant technologies.
