Restore Hope is a small nonprofit organization supporting women experiencing homelessness in Washington, DC through mentorship, meals, and community events. We are seeking a dedicated Volunteer Coordinator to support the recruitment, onboarding, and engagement of our amazing volunteers. This is a part-time volunteer leadership role ideal for someone passionate about community service and making a direct impact.
Responsibilities
Recruit and screen new volunteers for various programs and events (e.g., food distribution, event support, mentorship program)
Onboard and orient volunteers to Restore Hope’s mission, values, and programming
Maintain volunteer records
Communicate regularly with volunteers via email or phone
Support ongoing improvement of volunteer systems and processes
Qualifications
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Organized, dependable, and responsive
Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
Passion for serving women experiencing homelessness
Prior volunteer management experience (a plus, not required)

Description
Restore Hope was founded in light of Isaiah 61:1-4 and Matthew 25:33-45 with the mission to connect homeless women to vital resources while building relationships with them and working to uncover and address the underlying causes of each person’s situation. Taking the time to build relationships not only reminds these women that they matter, but allows Restore Hope to provide personalized services that address each woman’s unique situation.
