Calligraphy Teacher Needed at Lyngblomsten Senior Apartments

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: Lyngblomsten Care Center

Lyngblomsten Apartments, a senior living community, is seeking a volunteer calligraphy teacher to lead an engaging class for our residents this fall. This special program is a joint effort between our Spiritual Care and Lifetime Learning and the Arts departments, inspired by the magnificent Saint John's Bible.

Our residents will be taking a trip to Saint John's University in Collegeville, Minnesota, to learn more about this incredible handwritten Bible. In honor of its exquisite artistry, we'll be hosting a calligraphy display and want to offer our residents the opportunity to explore this beautiful art form themselves.

As our volunteer calligraphy teacher, you'll be responsible for:

  • Leading a calligraphy class for a group of enthusiastic senior residents.
  • Sharing your knowledge and passion for calligraphy in an accessible and enjoyable way.
  • Helping residents create their own calligraphic pieces.

The class will be held sometime in the fall, with dates to be determined based on volunteer availability.

If you have a love for calligraphy and enjoy sharing your skills with others, we'd be delighted to hear from you! This is a wonderful opportunity to contribute to our vibrant community and share in an inspiring educational experience.
