Carpe Librum will be popping up in Woodley Park for a fundraising book sale on Sundays throughout 2025:

June 8, July 13, August 10, August 31, September 7, September 14, October 5, November 9 and December 14

We will need volunteers to help us set-up the book sale (shelving books, etc.) and then box up the book at the end of this fundraising event. This is a great opportunity to spend an hour or two supporting literacy and educational outcomes for DC public school students as all proceeds support Turning the Page. Turning the Page is an education non-profit that engages public school families for student success.

Can you lend a hand?

The set-up shift is from 8am-9:15am, helping to set up books on shelves and tables.
The pack-up shift is from 4pm-5:15pm, helping to pack up books into boxes.
If interested, sign up via VolunteerMatch and we will reach out with more details. Contact Isabella at imuehlinghaus@turningthepage.org with any questions. If you’re interested in helping out at one of our other pop-up book sales around the city, you can view our sale calendar here: https://turningthepage.org/events/. Thank you!
