ORGANIZATION: Turning the Page

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.

Carpe Librum will be popping up in the Yards Park for a fundraising book sale on July 9, July 16, July 23, July 30, August 6, September 16, October 4 and November 1! We will need volunteers to help us set up our shelves and tables in the morning and then help us box up the books in the afternoon for this fundraising event. This is a great opportunity to spend an hour or two supporting literacy and positive educational outcomes for students in DC public schools.

Can you lend a hand?

The first shift is from 2:30pm-3:30pm, helping to set up the tables and shelve books according to category.
The second shift is from 6:30pm-7:30pm, helping to pack up books.
If interested, sign up via VolunteerMatch or GivePulse and we will reach out with more details. If you’re interested in helping out at one of our other pop-up book sales around the city, you can view our sale calendar here: https://turningthepage.org/events/. Thank you!

(By the way, we’re not just any bookstore: we’re a fundraising bookstore! Carpe Librum collects donated books, CDs, and DVDs to support the DC nonprofit Turning the Page.)
