Join Natural Restorations for a Lower Salt River Cleanup specifically for military veterans! If you're a veteran, we would love to have you join us on Saturday, August 2nd from 7am to ~11am. Vets may bring a plus 1 if they are 18+ & have their own equipment or rent it.

What to expect: We are meeting at Goldfield Recreation Area to figure out shuttles for everyone & sign-in. We will have our truck & trailer to help with the shuttle and any volunteers who can help shuttle volunteers would be greatly appreciated (email us to let us know you can help with shuttles). We'll shuttle up to Pebble Beach at 7:30am to launch by 8am. We'll float the river picking up trash & get out at Goldfield where we will weigh the trash removed & take it up to the dumpsters. If everyone arrives before 7:30 & checks in, we can leave ealry & get on the water sooner. If you are not checked in by 7:30, we will leave to keep our schedule due to high temps.
Volunteers WITHOUT their own kayaks & SUP’s: No equipment? No Problem! Our friends at No Snow Standup Paddleboard are donating equipment rentals for veterans who do not have their own equipment, including 2 of their giant 4-person boards our team loves taking down the river. Must reserve equipment with Natural Restorations no later than 07/31! Please do not reserve equipment unless you 're 100% sure you can make it; no showing puts us in a bind with extra equipment that could get stolen while we're on the river.

Mission Statement
Our mission is to remove trash, graffiti from outdoor recreation and wilderness areas, revitalize natural areas through replanting projects, and enrich the lives of military veterans and other community members.
Description
We remove trash, graffiti and anything foreign to the environment from outdoor recreation and wilderness areas throughout the state of Arizona. We replant burn scar areas by salvaging cacti that would otherwise be destroyed on construction sites and we transport them to burn scars where our team replants them. We provide contract work to Military Veterans on our Dedicated Restoration Team and host volunteer events for the community, including youth volunteers.
We have a passion for nature and we believe outdoor restorations and education ensures everyone will be able to enjoy outdoor recreation and wilderness areas. We approach every project with a commitment to long-term change and making lasting impacts in communities across the state.
We have removed over 1.9 million pounds of trash (967+ tons), planted over 115,400 trees, plants & cacti, and removed over 49,231 square feet of graffiti. We have provided over 25,470 hours of contract work to military veterans on our Dedicated Restoration Team. We have hosted over 137 volunteer events and completed over 209 restoration projects with our Dedicated Restoration Team.
