We’re seeking a passionate and outgoing volunteer with experience in securing business sponsorships to help us grow our network of corporate partners for our 2025 Hearts & Hands Benefit Gala in November. The Sponsorship Coordinator will play a key role in identifying potential sponsors and preparing information to pass to the Executive Director.
Location: Onsite & remote
Time Commitment: 2-4 hours a week
Start Date: July 1 st-September 1st
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and identify potential local and national business sponsors
- Develop and pitch sponsorship proposals to the Executive Director
- Maintain a sponsorship database and track outreach
- Communicate effectively with Amy and Errica with updates
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sponsorship outreach, fundraising, or corporate partnerships
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Comfortable reaching out to new contacts
- Organized, self-motivated, and reliable
- Passion for free quality healthcare to low income, uninsured individuals and families

The Matthews Free Medical Clinic provides free, quality health care to low-income, uninsured individuals in Mecklenburg and Union Counties.
Description
Our clinic has grown since it was first conceived over twenty years ago by Matthews United Methodist parish nurse, Gail Dokes, RN and Lou Ann McAdams, MD. Their passion and dedication to serving the low-income, uninsured people in the Matthews area was contagious and drew in partners that invested in growing the clinic so more people could be served. Many early partners remain committed to this day, Matthews United Methodist Church, Novant Health Matthews Medical Center, LabCorp, Mecklenburg Radiology Associates, and many more. We are honored and proud to be able to continue to serve our community, thanks to all of those that invest time and resources in to our mission.
